About

I originally trained as a zoologist and have taught a range of subjects in biology and conservation at Universities in Australia and in the UK.  My career  has involved research in fish biology and ecology, on estuarine ecosystems and fish endocrinology. I've organised, or taken part in, expeditions to Indonesia, Cuba, Tenerife and Ecuador.

My interest in photography began as a teenager when, much to my parent's dismay, I spent all my Post Office savings on a second-hand Nikon F.

Photography compliments my interests in wildlife ecology and travel. I am a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society (FRPS).
